Number porting process
Transferring phone numbers from your existing phone company to MOVOX is a seamless process referred to as local number portability, or number porting. It allows you to keep your phone numbers when relocating or changing phone company. The time to port your phone number from one phone company to another depends on the type of number being transferred. A single number can take up to 5 business days and multiple numbers or 13, 1300 and 1800 numbers, or numbers associated with other services can take up to 4-weeks.

VALIDATION
Your existing phone bill
- Confirm number ownership, service address, number type and any associated services

APPLICATION
Notification to current phone company
- MOVOX submit a number porting application to your current phone company

ACCEPTANCE
Application is approved or declined
- If the details submitted do not match the current carrier records the application may be declined

CUT-OVER DATE
Day and time scheduled
- Upon acceptance of the current carrier, MOVOX will schedule a day and time for the number to be ported

TESTING
Inbound, outbound and internal calls
- Once the number has been transferred we will test calls and confirm the number is working
