Voicemail message example

“You’ve called (your name) I’m currently on the phone or away from my desk, please leave a message and I will return your call”

After hours message example

“You’ve called (Company name) our office hours are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, to leave a message press 1 and we will return your call during business hours”

Or,

“Press 2 and your call will be transferred to (mobile number)”

On-hold message example

Your on hold message should be 4 or 5 paragraphs describing your business, your products, services, special offers etc.

You can break up each paragraph with words like; “we apologise for the delay and we will be with you shortly” or “if you would prefer to leave a message please press 1 now and we will return your call”.

Holiday message example

“You’ve called ABC Pty Ltd. Our office is currently closed and will reopen on (Day) (Date) (Month).

To leave a message press 1 and we will return your call.

Or,

To be transferred to (my mobile) please press 1.

Menu greeting example

“Thank you for calling ABC Company, for Customer Service press 1, for Sales press 2, for Accounts press 3 or to be transferred to reception please press 4”.
