Our quick user guide to XPhone mobile softphone application preference settings.

Preferences

To access the ‘Preferences’ section of the MOVOX Mobile Application, tap the ‘Settings’ icon (in the main menu footer). From the Settings screen tap Preferences > which is located below the Configure Settings heading.

This setting allows the MOVOX Mobile Application to make and receive calls over the mobile phone cellular connection. If this setting is ‘OFF’ the application will not register over 3G.
This option saves battery life when set to ‘OFF’ and the application will be unregistered when your mobile screen is locked. If you wish to receive calls when your mobile screen is locked or the application is closed this must be set to ‘ON’. This setting should only be set to ‘OFF’ if you are using the application for outgoing calls only.
Tap Ringtones > to bring up a selection 25 ringtones.
Tap Audio > to access volume controls, Bluetooth and other audio settings. Play Ringtone Set to ‘ON’ to play your selected ringtone when an incoming call is received. Vibrate Set to ‘ON’ and your mobile phone will vibrate when an incoming call received. This setting is for iPhone only. Microphone Volume Move the slider to adjust the volume of the microphone independent of the volume switch on the mobile phone. Playback Volume Move the slider to adjust the speaker output volume independent of the volume setting on the mobile phone. Keypad Volume Set to ‘ON’ to hear tones when digits are pressed on the keypad screen. Bluetooth Support If set to ‘ON’ and there is an active call the application displays the in-call screen, tap the ‘Audio Sources’ button on the in-call screen to choose ear-piece, speaker or Bluetooth headset as your audio output. If set to ‘OFF’ the in-call screen will display a speaker button which allows the mobile phones speaker to be turned on and off.This option is only supported on the iPhone and the Bluetooth headset needs to be paired in the iPhone’s general settings. Preserve Audio Route If set to ‘ON’, calls will use the audio source used in the previous call, if set to ‘OFF’ calls will use the ear-piece as the default audio source. Echo suppression When set to ‘ON’ the iPhone’s in built echo suppression algorithms will be used. This prevents the called party from hearing an echo. This is especially important in speaker mode.
Email Address Recorded call files will be sent to your nominated email address Warning Beep Set to 'ON' to hear a warning sound when Call Recording is activated
If set to ‘ON’, the default confirmation dialog which is usually shown when tapping a contact, call log or favorite entry is not displayed and the call is made immediately.
If set to ‘ON’, the contact photo is shown in the in-call view. Try to keep contact images as small size as possible so they load faster.
If set to ‘ON’, the application will look for a VPN network interface rather than choosing the default. Do not enable if there is no VPN.
Select a photo from your mobile phone camera roll to display in the background when on an active call.
This is a global setting that over-rides the Call Forwarding setting for each registered account in your application (if you have more than one). Forward calls If set to 'ON', incoming calls are forwarded to the specified number. In addition to this setting you will need to enter a Forward Number in the 'Advanced' section of each account (see below). Forward calls - Advanced account setting From the 'Settings' screen tap SIP Accounts > On the SIP Accounts screen tap the information 'i' symbol of your account to take you to the ‘Edit Account’ screen. On the Edit Account screen tap 'Unregister' and scroll to the bottom of this page and tap 'Advanced'. On the Advanced screen enter a number that you wish to forward calls to. To re-register the application navigate back to the Edit Account screen, set ‘Enabled’ to ‘ON’ and press 'Save' in the top right hand corner of your mobile phone screen. For further information on this section please refer to Help > Setup and Activation > Advanced.
This is a global setting that over-rides the Enable Video setting for each registered account in your application (if you have more than one). If set to ‘ON’ you can make and receive video calls. In addition to this setting you will need to turn 'ON' Video Calls in the 'Advanced' section of each account (see below). Enable Video - Advanced account setting From the 'Settings' screen tap SIP Accounts > On the SIP Accounts screen tap the information 'i' symbol of your account to take you to the ‘Edit Account’ screen. On the Edit Account screen tap 'Unregister' and scroll to the bottom of this page and tap 'Advanced' ON the Advanced screen set 'Enable Video' to 'ON'. To re-register the application navigate back to the Edit Account screen, set ‘Enabled’ to ‘ON’ and press 'Save' in the top right hand corner of your mobile phone screen. For further information on this section please refer to Help > Setup and Activation > Advanced.
Select Low, Normal or High as the resolution of video calls.
